Program Manager

Role Description The Program Manager will support the immigration legal services team by overseeing the administration and management of grant programs. This role will serve as the primary liaison for subgrantees participating in the project and will report directly to the Contracts Administrator. Essential Functions - Establish and oversee subcontractors. - Ensures implementation of policies and practices of programs. - Manages the data collection from staff and partners, as well as prepares data for program grant reports. - Coordinates internally with staff to assemble program and financial data for applications and reports. - Maintains accurate program records. - Manages data entered in database systems and coordinates quality control of data. - Communicates directly with staff and subgrantees who utilize the systems to ensure that they enter accurate and timely data. - Conducts office site and subgrantee visits. - Builds and maintains strong relationships with community-based organizations and other stakeholders. - Represents the organization at partner meetings, conferences, and other collaborations, particularly when related to health/public benefits issues. - Supports program development and growth. - Provides support with constituent calls, screenings and services, when needed. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to conduct research into PC and/or Apple issues and products as required. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories. - Able to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation. - Analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Collaboration: Ability to work with teammates in a professional and solutions-oriented manner. - Dedication to Mission: A genuine interest in immigrant, farm worker rights/workers’ rights. - Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English. - Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience. - Keen attention to detail. - Flexibility, Speed, and Precision: Ability to adjust quickly to constantly changing priorities. - Si Se Puede® (It Can Be Done) Attitude: Promotes confidence, courage, and risk-taking. - Strong customer-service orientation. Requirements - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, government officials and their staff members, and the general public. - Bilingual ability in English and Spanish; ability to speak Mixteco, Zapotec, Triqui and other indigenous languages is a plus. - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. - Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. - Must have basic accounting knowledge and the ability to keep accurate financial records. - Must be familiar with the history and mission of the UFW Foundation and be willing to make a long-term commitment. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
