• Working under minimal supervision, this position understands the overall product users, indications for use and user needs, and applies this knowledge to translate business/user needs into product requirements and/or user stories. • Internally, the Product Analyst serves as a liaison between development and support, services and RAQA regarding product requirements, and will serve as the primary Product Owner on agile squads. • Externally, the Product Analyst works to understand feedback from customers and third-party partners to better define roadmap. • Maintain deep and detailed product and user knowledge. • Serve as primary Product Owner on agile squads, which may include Subject Matter Expert roles in Risk Analysis and Change Control. • Manage sustaining engineering prioritization, including escalations. • Analyze business and user requirements for clarity, completeness, scope, and technical feasibility. • Decompose requirements and Epics into system and software functional/non-functional requirements and user stories for one or more products and/or teams. • Create scenarios for each user story. • Include in requirement documents use case definitions that describe the system’s intended functional behavior and user roles involved. • Develop supplementary specifications that capture system requirements that are not readily captured in use cases. • Ensure the project’s requirement documentation remain in compliance with the quality system definitions. • Perform requirements modeling and consider development of visual UML diagrams which depict various perspectives of the systems functional behavior. • Ensure requirements coverage and traceability to development project plans to ensure all requirements defined are in scope. • Support requirements triage and planning to select the right requirements to include in a specific software release. • Assist in requirements planning that describes the specific overall project requirement information, resources, and special needs of the project. • Participate in cross-functional project planning for the purpose of clarifying the intended functional behavior of the software. • Maintain consistent Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback through post-market and customer satisfaction data analysis, meetings, Communities, User Groups, etc. • Travel to customer sites, 3rd party supplier or partner sites, trade shows, or other subject matter expert locations as needed. • Build relationships with Sponsor Users of key VOC improvements. • Coordinate showcases to demonstrate progress. • Work with Product Manager and Innovation Adoption Executive on Early Evaluation and Early Adoption of VOC improvements. • Pursue a program of self-development using selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education. • Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers. • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
Job Requirements
- BS Computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years Product and/or domain experience in the imaging realm
- Strong technical acumen
- Proven ability to translate business and user requirements into system/software requirements specifications, user stories, scenarios and models
- Proven ability to understand business processes, workflows, learn application technical details in areas such as network topology and security, server stability, operating systems and relational database systems
- Proven collaboration experience in cross functional teams and with customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and escalate gaps in solution understanding and viability of solution to meet user needs
- Preferred: Certification as Agile Product Owner
- Cloud experience
- Experience with UML diagramming tools
