Job Description
Principal Software Developer, AI Experience
Dayforce
Role Description Dayforce is looking for an experienced Experience Architect to establish multidisciplinary and strategic leadership for our Experience Architecture across our entire product suite. Design at Dayforce is building a contemporary, human-centered practice, recognizing that software tools should look and work more like our favorite consumer applications. To realize this shift requires research and design influence and contributions at the highest organizational levels. Working alongside our VP of Design, the Experience Architect leads efforts that cross the entire suite (Dayforce, Dayforce Mobile, Dayforce Wallet, and future offerings), supporting Dayforce’s shift to being an experience-driven enterprise. A facilitative leadership style helps drive this shift with senior design, research, product, and engineering leaders to envision the evolution of our product suite. This is a leadership individual contributor role, not a people management role. The Experience Architect will lead efforts across organizations and departments, and direct efforts of specific sub-teams but is not expected to manage direct reports. What you'll get to do - Provide multidisciplinary and strategic leadership for our Experience Architecture throughout Dayforce Product & Technology organizations. - Lead the design and development of scalable, robust, and maintainable experience architectures across all touchpoints, current and future. - Guide our experience architecture strategy, helping set the standards of how to deliver our standard experience (and minimum experience) across platforms and channels for all Dayforce users, products, and potential products. - Partner with product, design, engineering, and devops leaders across Dayforce. - Spearhead the development of experience-led product vision across the Dayforce suite. - Provide guidance and direction for key ‘horizontal’ activities such as Design System development. - Create strategic experience deliverables such as strategy decks, prototypes, PoCs, journeys, visions of future experiences and evangelize these cross-product “blueprints” across teams. - Build and maintain a framework for establishing and assessing experience quality. - Connect user experience with business value. - Experiment with novel, new, or bleeding edge technologies to scale our UX. Qualifications - At least 12 years leading the design of complex products, services, and/or product suites (complex meaning: multiple platforms or channels; multiple audiences to address; complicated information and data to manage and make clear). - Portfolio of work inspired by user research demonstrating a mastery of product design strategy, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, articulation of design rationale, strong communication and storytelling skills. - Proven success delivering large-scale, high-quality multichannel experiences across mobile, web, and beyond. - Experience leading a program of work across multiple teams through full product development cycles in discovery, concepting, prototypes, specifications, and enablement across design teams. - Experience working with executives on crucial, fuzzy, ambiguous, ‘Big Picture' strategic challenges that touch many teams. - Proven experience in engineering, demonstrated through deep expertise in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web and mobile front-end and back-end frameworks. - Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and networking fundamentals and applying them to SaaS architectures. - Strong presentation skills that showcase ability to articulate strong design rationale, connect design decisions to broader strategic and business decisions, and compel executive stakeholders to action. Benefits - Dayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees. We are an equal opportunity employer and consider and embrace ALL individuals and what makes them unique. - We believe our employees should be happy and healthy, with peace of mind and a sense of fulfillment. - We encourage individuals to apply based on their passions. - Dayforce encourages personal and professional growth. - We offer excellent time away from work programs, comprehensive wellness initiatives and recognition through competitive pay and benefits. - With a commitment to community impact, including volunteer days and our charity, Dayforce Cares, we provide opportunities for you to thrive both in your career and personal life. - Our focus is not just on your job but on supporting you to be the best version of yourself. About the Salary Ranges Please note that the salary range mentioned in this job description should serve simply as a guide. The final compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors, including bonuses and/or incentives, or a candidate’s experience, skills, budget and location. Our company is committed to providing a fair, equitable, and competitive package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization. Fraudulent Recruiting Beware of fraudulent recruiting. Legitimate Dayforce contacts will use an @dayforce.com email address. We do not request money, checks, equipment orders, or sensitive personal data during the recruitment process. If you have been asked for any of the above, or believe you have been contacted by someone posing as a Dayforce employee, please refer to our fraudulent recruiting statement found here: https://www.dayforce.com/be-aware-of-recruiting-fraud .
