Role Description Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions is hiring a Junior Network Administrator to support the deployment and operation of SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) solutions using Aruba Silver Peak technology. The role focuses on network deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SD-WAN environments across distributed enterprise sites. The position operates within a local engineering team, with regular collaboration with international project management and network architecture teams. Key Responsibilities - Deploy and configure SD-WAN edge devices (Aruba Silver Peak) at remote sites - Support SD-WAN rollout and implementation projects - Troubleshoot network incidents and SD-WAN overlay issues - Monitor network performance, availability, and connectivity - Execute incident management and problem resolution tasks - Collaborate with international stakeholders (Project Managers, Network Architects) - Maintain and update technical documentation and configuration records - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and IT service management processes Qualifications - Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, Routing and Switching, Subnetting - Certification or knowledge equivalent to: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), or Technical secondary education (technicum) in IT / networking - Fluent English (B2–C1 level minimum) - Understanding of network troubleshooting methodologies - Ability to work in a team-oriented, international environment Preferred Skills - Exposure to SD-WAN technologies, especially Aruba Silver Peak - Basic understanding of: VPN (IPsec, GRE), WAN technologies, Overlay networks - Familiarity with: Network monitoring tools, ITIL-based incident management processes Soft Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills in English - Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise - Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams Additional Information Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.
