About the Role We are supporting a leading global investment bank within its CIB Markets division, partnering with the Modelling & Analytics Group (MAG) to enhance pricing and risk platforms. We are seeking a Technical QA Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on testing, validating, and improving large-scale distributed systems used for real-time pricing and risk analytics. This role goes beyond traditional QA — you will work hands-on with test environments, deployments, and system behavior, collaborating closely with developers, quants, and trading stakeholders to ensure robust, high-performance platforms. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and execute functional and automated tests for complex pricing and risk systems - Validate end-to-end workflows across distributed platforms and applications - Perform root cause analysis of issues identified in test environments, working closely with development teams to resolve them - Support and execute application deployments and release processes in non-production environments - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks, and quality engineering best practices - Analyze system performance, logs, and behavior to ensure stability, scalability, and reliability - Collaborate with traders, quantitative developers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and improve system quality - Continuously improve testing approaches using modern tools, including AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) Skills & Experience - Proven experience as a Technical QA Engineer / SDET / Test Engineer in complex systems - Strong understanding of software testing principles, including both functional and automation testing - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes - Experience working with Linux environments, distributed systems, and application deployments - Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis using logs and system insights - Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python) - Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, or similar is a plus - Exposure to financial systems, trading platforms, or risk/pricing systems is advantageous - Experience with or openness to using AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot) What We’re Looking For - A hands-on, technically curious problem-solver who enjoys understanding how systems work under the hood - Someone who takes ownership of quality and can independently investigate and resolve issues - A team player who can bridge the gap between QA, development, and business stakeholders - A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation We offer a flexible collaboration model based on a B2B contract, with the opportunity to work on diverse projects.
