Job Description: Reasonable Accommodations Support Analyst Location: Remote Job ID: ATR 17950 Job Description Overview Join our dedicated Federal HR team as a Reasonable Accomodations Support Analyst within the federal sector! In this dynamic role, you will champion the rights of employees managing sensitive cases involving medical and religious accommodations in a highly regulated environment. Your expertise in federal human capital management and employment law will drive impactful solutions that support workforce diversity and accessibility. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence organizational culture positively while utilizing your comprehensive HR skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting. Duties -Receive, track, and manage RA requests under the Rehabilitation Act, Title VII, and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, including determining whether requesters have submitted sufficient information to establish qualification for accommodation based on disability, religion, or pregnancy. -Review and analyze medical documentation for sufficiency; prepare and send requests for additional medical information when needed, using agency-approved formats. -Within 2 business days of case assignment, initiate communication with the employee's supervisor or hiring official to clarify and document essential functions relative to the RA request. -Facilitate the interactive accommodation process; evaluate whether the requester is qualified, whether the requested accommodation would enable performance of essential functions, and whether effective alternatives exist. -Prepare and submit written recommendation letters within 20 business days, including process description, summary of relevant facts and findings, clear recommendation, and rationale for any proposed alternatives. -Maintain complete and organized RA case files per agency instructions; submit written certification of destruction for closed cases and return all records to the agency upon completion. -Prepare bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year performance reports per SOW reporting requirements. -Maintain strict confidentiality of medical and personnel information; store and transmit case information securely; demonstrate impartiality, accuracy, and sound professional judgment in all case work. -Notify the COR within 3 business days of any deficiencies in agency-provided documentation that delay case processing. Required Experience -At least five (5) years of experience working as an attorney; OR at least three (3) years of experience in human resources, labor relations, or a related field with demonstrated experience in reasonable accommodations processing and/or disability management -Technical expertise in applying federal laws, regulations, and best practices governing reasonable accommodations, including the Rehabilitation Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (as amended), Title VII, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, HIPAA, and 29 C.F.R. Parts 1614 and 1630 -Demonstrated experience reviewing and analyzing professional medical documentation for the purpose of deciding reasonable accommodation requests -Strong knowledge of assistive technology applications and devices -Demonstrated experience handling medical and religious accommodation cases -Experience drafting decision letters or formal written recommendations on accommodation requests -Proficiency in administrative support functions including data collection, basic research, report preparation and analysis, and drafting routine correspondence -Demonstrated ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, agency policies, and directed instructions Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise makes a tangible difference!
