Job Description

Senior Product Marketing Manager

insightsoftware

Title: Senior Product Marketing Manager Location: USA - Remote Work Type: Remote, Full Time Job ID: REQ000692 Job Description: About Us: insightsoftware is a global provider of reporting, analytics, and performance management solutions that unlock the potential of business data and transform the way finance and data teams operate. We empower leaders from over 32,000 organizations to make timely and intelligent decisions. Our comprehensive solutions span Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, and Data and Analytics. We deliver finance teams the insights required to navigate any economic climate and drive greater financial intelligence, while increasing productivity, visibility, accuracy, and compliance. Job Description: We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own go-to-market strategy and execution for two of insightsoftware’s highest-priority EPM capability areas: Close & Consolidation and Financial Planning & Analysis. These areas are anchored by our flagship EPM platform and supported by a portfolio of established products that underpin a major, multi-year customer upgrade program. This is a platform narrative role at a pivotal moment. The EPM Suite is mid-transformation—migrating a portfolio of market-leading products to a unified, modern flagship platform while simultaneously winning new logos in a competitive market. You’ll own the messaging framework that spans the full arc: new logo acquisition, competitive displacement, and the customer upgrade programs that accelerate existing customers’ path to go-forward solutions. You’ll work closely with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, and Analyst Relations, and you’ll be a key contributor to a major platform initiative currently underway—one of the most significant go-to-market moments in the company’s recent history. What You’ll Own Product Positioning & Messaging - Own and evolve the messaging and positioning framework for our flagship EPM platform across its Close & Consolidation and Financial Planning & Analysis use cases. - Maintain positioning for legacy close and consolidation products in scope, calibrated to their upgrade stage and customer base. - Translate platform capabilities into buyer-centric narratives that resonate across CFOs, Controllers, FP&A leaders, and IT decision-makers. - Drive content strategy for core sales assets: solution briefs, battlecards, pitch decks, and web copy. Platform Initiative Contribution - Serve as the PMM lead for Close & Consolidation and Financial Planning & Analysis within an active, cross-functional platform initiative. - Own capability-area messaging, launch assets, and sales enablement in support of a near-term go-live milestone. - Partner with the broader EPM PMM team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure positioning is cohesive across the full portfolio. Customer Upgrade Program Strategy & Execution - Serve as the primary PMM contributor to customer upgrade programs targeting existing customers on legacy close and consolidation and legacy FP&A products. - Develop product-specific upgrade enablement content: feature mapping, objection handling guides, customer FAQs, readiness content, and campaign messaging. - Partner with program leadership to execute a director-led upgrade program architecture across a one to two year horizon. Go-to-Market Execution - Lead product launches and feature releases end-to-end, from positioning through enablement and measurement. - Partner with Demand Gen on campaign briefs and audience segmentation strategies aligned to pipeline goals. - Build and maintain NPI launch framework deliverables for your capability areas. Competitive Intelligence - Serve as the CI lead for close and consolidation and financial planning and analysis—owning battlecard development, win/loss analysis, and ongoing market monitoring. - Contribute to the portfolio-wide CI program, including report templates, governance processes, and CI platform management. - Synthesize competitive insights from analyst subscriptions (Gartner, BARC, ISG, Dresner, Nucleus) into actionable enablement content. International Markets - Support go-to-market execution globally, including content localization, regional messaging adaptation, and field enablement. - Partner with regional Sales and field marketing teams to ensure messaging lands effectively across international audiences. What You Bring Required - Product marketing experience, with at least one year in B2B enterprise software. - Deep domain expertise in EPM, financial close, consolidation, or financial planning and analysis software—you understand the buyer’s world, not just the product. - Hands-on competitive intelligence experience—you’ve built battlecards, run win/loss programs, and turned market data into seller-ready insights. - Experience supporting go-to-market efforts in international markets. - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute customer upgrade or transition programs—accelerating existing customers’ path to flagship solutions is a material part of this role. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—you write crisp messaging and can present confidently to executives and customers alike. - Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-moving, portfolio-driven environment. Nice to Have - Experience marketing through a platform consolidation or major portfolio architecture transition. - Familiarity with Crayon, Klue, or similar competitive intelligence platforms. Why This Role, Why Now The EPM Suite is at an inflection point. Our flagship platform is the go-forward solution for both financial close and FP&A, and the team is executing a portfolio-wide transformation that will shape how insightsoftware goes to market for years to come. This role carries the largest module footprint in the EPM Suite—spanning two capability areas, a near-term platform milestone, and the upgrade programs that will accelerate thousands of existing customers to next-generation solutions over the next two years. If you’re a PMM who thrives on platform-level strategy, complex multi-stakeholder programs, and the challenge of telling a compelling story simultaneously to new prospects and existing customers navigating product transitions—this role was built for you. Our Values At insightsoftware, we hire people who share our core values: Results Orientation, Winning Attitude, Be One Team, Disciplined Execution, and a Customer-First Mindset. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, pushes the work forward, and makes the people around them better. The salary range in United States of America for this position is 99,000.00 to 124,000.00 USD Annual. Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target. We are committed to pay transparency and fair compensation practices. If you have questions about our compensation approach, please don't hesitate to ask during the interview process
