Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. While this is initially a contract role, we are looking for someone eager to grow with the organization and transition into a long-term position. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. This is a client-facing role, often requiring video meetings with internal management and external clients. Key Responsibilities - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Perform bank and credit card reconciliations - Maintain and update general ledger entries - Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures - Prepare and maintain accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies - Support the preparation of financial reports and statements - Collaborate with other departments to gather and verify financial data - Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards - Provide ad-hoc financial and administrative support to the accounting team Qualifications - Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience - Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software - Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel & Google Sheets) - Excellent organizational and time management abilities - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams - Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment Benefits - Opportunity to gain valuable accounting experience - Work with a supportive and collaborative team - Build a long-term career path within Blanchard Executive Solutions - Investing in our people and rewarding strong performance with opportunities for advancement
