Job Description

Amazon Operations Manager

Boundless Co

Role Description We're hiring an Amazon Operations Manager. The kind of person who can take the entire Amazon side of a growing brand off the founder's plate and run it like it's theirs. You'll own the platform end-to-end across our key marketplaces (US, CA, MX, UK, AU, JP). Responsibilities include: - Every listing, every metric, every routine, every deal. - Cross-checking our supply chain. - Spending roughly one day a week building AI agents and automations that make the function leaner over time. - Full access to Claude and whatever comes next. This isn't a coordinator role. It's an operator role. If you've already run Amazon ops for a brand at real scale and you want more autonomy, smarter tools, and a founder who'll get out of your way once you've earned it, read on. Qualifications - You've personally run an Amazon ops function before for a brand doing meaningful volume — owning the operation, not just executing tasks within someone else's. - You've run Amazon ops across multiple international marketplaces (not just the US) and understand the quirks of each: VAT, regional compliance, marketplace-specific listing rules, marketplace-specific image uploads, global review sharing, etc. - You're AI-fluent. You actively use Claude or similar in your daily work, you're comfortable with agentic workflows, and you can build and refine prompts. Having built automations is a bonus, not required. - You're a natural systems thinker. When you describe past work, you talk in workflows, inputs, decisions, and edge cases. - You have deep working knowledge of Seller Central — listings, GTINs, barcodes, FNSKUs, A+ content, brand stores, account health, deals and promotions setup. - You're a process person. You believe in checklists, SOPs, and consistent routines. - Your written and spoken English is excellent. Requirements - Don't apply if you've only been a coordinator, specialist, or VA on someone else's Amazon team. - Your Amazon experience is limited to the US marketplace. - You treat AI as "something to dabble with" rather than core to how you work. - You can't sit comfortably with routine work. Most days, this job is steady, methodical, and detail-heavy. - You need a manager looking over your shoulder to do good work. What you'll do - Run the platform: - Daily, weekly, and monthly operational routines across our marketplaces. - Listing maintenance: sizes, secondary images, A+ content, product videos, brand stores. - GTIN allocation, barcode setup (FNSKU/UPC/EAN), and resolving barcode failures. - Account health monitoring. Keep every dashboard green. - Shipment defect resolution. Work the Inbound Performance Dashboard, assess each case, decide whether to dispute or acknowledge, follow through. - Run the marketing execution layer: - Set up and run all deals, Brand Tailored Promotions, coupons, tiered discounts, and bundles in Seller Central. - Maintain strikethrough pricing on priority ASINs and recover it when it drops off. - Audit multi-marketplace pricing consistency — make sure prices land cleanly across all marketplaces after Marketing sets them. - Monitor KW rank and conversion rate on priority ASINs; flag anomalies, execute the agreed fix. - Keep marketing and supply informed when a deal, badge, or campaign is driving unusual sales activity. - Cross-check the supply chain: - Act as a sounding board and second pair of eyes on our Supply Manager's forecasting, POs, and shipping plans before they reach the founder. - Build deep enough understanding of the supply chain to flag risks she might miss and offer alternatives, not just rubber-stamp. - Build and improve the function: - Spend roughly one day per week building, deploying, and refining AI automations that reduce manual work across the function. - Stay current with Amazon platform changes and bring them into the workflow. - Refine routines, SOPs, and processes as the operation evolves. - Bring ideas, process improvements, expansion opportunities, smarter ways of working. Bonus skills (nice, not required) - Familiarity with Claude Code/Cowork or other agentic developer tools. - Experience with Sellerboard, DataDive, Datarova or similar Amazon analytics tools. - Background in consumer electronics or adjacent product categories. Where you fit - You report directly to the founder. - You don't have direct reports. You'll work alongside our Supply Manager (a long-tenured team member) as a cross-check on her work. - You'll work closely with the founder on marketing strategy and deal planning until we hire a Marketing Manager; once they're in place, the seam is Marketing decides, Ops executes. - You'll touch Customer Service where account health and customer there is overlap, and know when to escalate to Amazon Seller Support directly. Benefits - US$2,200-$2,800/month base, paid monthly. - Annual performance review with discretionary bonus tied to KPI delivery. - 40 hours/week, fixed schedule with 4+ hours of overlap with AEST/AEDT (more during onboarding). - Work from anywhere in the world; manage your own hours within the overlap window. - 3-month probation; long-term engagement thereafter. - Direct line to the founder and a real seat at the table as we grow. - Job security: We have been in e-commerce since 2017 and we're hiring because we're scaling, not because something broke.
