Provider Relations Representative

Role Description The Provider Relations Representative is an experienced customer service professional with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. This individual serves as the first point of contact for Superior Vision’s provider network and will: - Analyze and problem solve any claims-related issues. - Make system updates to provider demographic information as needed. - Assist the Provider Relations Managers with network recruitment activities and provider network updates. - Prepare documents for Credentialing. - Review and monitor provider complaints, grievances, and escalated issues as necessary to the appropriate staff. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associates Degree is preferred. - Three (3) or more years of Customer Service and administrative experience. - Previous health care experience in a managed health care environment (including Medicare / Medicaid), provider relations or customer service is preferred. - Understanding of vision care insurance is a plus. Requirements - Serve as initial contact and respond to all provider related inquiries with exceptional service and timely responses in a professional and courteous manner. - Resolve and respond to provider claims issues and complaints: - Identify and correct fee schedule issues. - Submit requests for adjustments to Claims. - Provide education to providers and their office staff regarding processes and changes. - Accurately update systems with changes in provider information. - Process recruitment materials and applications received from providers. - Assist in recruitment projects, network comparisons and data entry. - Initiate improvements to processes and procedures for Provider Relations that support company and departmental standards and strategic directives. - Perform other related duties as assigned. The CarePlus Medicare Call Center Representative 2 represents the company by addressing incoming telephone, digital, or written inquiries from Medicare members. The CarePlus Medicare Call Center Rep performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative / operational / customer support assignments. - Handle 20 to 35 inbound calls daily from Medicare members with a focus on high-quality service and one-call resolution. - Address member needs which may include complex benefits questions, resolving issues, and educating our members. - 60% to 70% of inbound calls require placing outbound calls to physicians, DME vendors, pharmacies, or other entities to help members. - Accurately record details of inquiries, comments or complaints, transactions, or interactions, and take appropriate action accordingly. - Responsible for escalating unresolved and pending customer grievances. - Work under minimal direction within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards. - Follow standard policies / practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation / deviation. - Requires strong emotional intelligence to proactively provide solutions, ensuring the member's utmost health and safety.
