Role Description We’re looking for someone who thrives on building connections, creating opportunities, and helping move business forward. As a Residential Trade Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in growing relationships within the residential design community while supporting a collaborative and fast-moving sales team. This is not a passive sales support role. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative naturally, follows through consistently, and is energized by meeting new people, developing relationships, and helping turn opportunities into long-term partnerships. Whether your background comes from furniture, interiors, retail sales, hospitality, customer engagement, or another client-facing environment, this role offers the opportunity to grow within a creative and entrepreneurial business where personality, ownership, and curiosity matter. How You’ll Make an Impact - Support the growth of the residential business through proactive outreach, relationship building, and consistent follow-up. - Build and maintain strong relationships with residential designers, trade partners, and prospective buyers. - Drive momentum within the sales pipeline by engaging customers, responding to inquiries, and advancing opportunities. - Partner closely with the sales team to support territory growth and client engagement strategies. - Deliver engaging virtual and in-person presentations on products, collections, and brand story. - Attend trade shows, client meetings, and industry events to represent the brand and identify new opportunities. - Prepare quotes, enter orders, and support customers throughout the project lifecycle. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity within Salesforce, ensuring visibility across opportunities and accounts. - Coordinate product samples and sales support materials for clients and partners. - Develop a strong understanding of products, materials, and manufacturing processes. - Identify creative solutions that improve customer experience and support internal process improvements. - Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders to ensure projects continue moving forward efficiently. Qualifications - Strong interest in sales, relationship development, and contributing to business growth. - Self-starter mentality with the ability to take initiative and create momentum independently. - Outgoing, confident, and comfortable building relationships through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions. - Resilient and motivated in a sales-driven environment, including proactive outreach and cold prospecting. - Genuine enthusiasm for design, interiors, furniture, architecture, or creative industries. - Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and active opportunities. - Positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. - 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer engagement, retail sales, or client-facing roles. - Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual communication platforms such as Teams preferred. - Experience within furniture, interiors, design, or lifestyle brands is highly valued. Requirements - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work comfortably in both office and collaborative team environments. - This position may be based in the Duluth office or remote, depending on location and business needs. Travel for trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events will be required. - Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role. Benefits - Competitive benefits package including insurance benefits, retirement offerings, paid time off, wellness support, and opportunities for professional growth and development. - $50,000 - $60,000/annual salary and $15,000 estimated annual bonus + annual revenue target bonus.
