Role Description We’re seeking a proactive and self-sufficient Talent Acquisition Coordinator to lead our preboarding process - an essential function that impacts every incoming hire in our Industrial Construction market sector. You'll also support candidate marketing processes and project setup processes. This role is central to our hiring success and demands ownership, initiative, and precision. As a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team, you’ll manage critical tasks across the hiring and onboarding lifecycle, ensuring a seamless experience for recruiters, supervisors, and new hires. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your ability to anticipate needs and solve problems makes a direct impact. Location: This is a remote position based anywhere in the continental United States. Travel is not required for this role. Responsibilities - Provide support for our hiring, preboarding, and onboarding processes. - Partner with the Talent Acquisition team, hiring managers, vendors, and other internal stakeholders and new hires to ensure data accuracy and a high-quality experience. - Administer the pre-employment screening process (background check and drug screening) and related hiring documentation, ensuring deadlines are met. - Assign new hire onboarding paperwork to ensure timely completion. - Initiate and monitor pre-boarding processes, partnering with IT as needed to ensure equipment is delivered timely to the correct locations. - Keep tracking spreadsheets, iCIMS system fields, or other areas to document appropriate status and progress. - Coordinate travel in partnership with the travel department for interviews and new hires as needed. - Send pre-employment screening and start-date confirmation emails to new hires and hiring managers. - Act as liaison for any preboarding-related support questions. - Support project setup administrative processes, including documentation for recruiting team and candidate support (project documentation and communication template setup). - Support recruitment and candidate engagement activities. - Collaborate with the marketing team and internal stakeholders to create internal and external recruitment announcements and related campaigns as needed. - Assist with general customer service and support, managing email inboxes daily. - As time allows, support and backup for the talent team, assisting with scheduling interviews as needed. - Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high-quality communication with hiring managers and candidates. - As needed, assist leadership with projects, research, reporting, data cleanup, and general administrative duties. - Provide support for meetings, including presentation creation, scheduling, or facilitation assistance. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Associates degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field preferred. - Minimum of three years experience in recruiting, human resources, or onboarding support position. - One year experience working with an Applicant Tracking or HR Information System. - Capable of handling extremely confidential and sensitive information. - Self-starter with a curious mindset, capable of quickly assessing situations and people. - Collaborative team player with an attention to detail whose instinct is to ask open-ended questions and for follow-up details as needed. - Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to understand the needs of the business. - Ability to practice agility, changing focus quickly between projects. - High level of time management and organizational skills. - Ability to learn and be coached, following process and compliance guidelines. Role Description The FT Schools team is looking for Student University Mentors to support and inspire our global network of Student Advocates. Student Advocates promote the benefits of the FT in schools and help represent the voice of students by sharing ideas on how the FT can be more relevant and engaging for teenagers. Student University Mentors will act as the bridge between these advocates and the FT, leading and motivating groups of up to 100 Student Advocates across the world. In this paid, part-time contract role, you will work closely with the FT Schools team to support Student Advocates, gather feedback, discuss new ideas and help shape projects that make the FT more compelling for young people. The role can be carried out remotely from home or university and requires approximately 12 hours per month, spread throughout the month, for a contract duration of around six months. This role would suit a current undergraduate university student who is motivated, organised and interested in helping young people engage with high-quality journalism and the world around them. Key Responsibilities - Help a group of up to 100 Student Advocates feel confident exploring ideas to increase awareness of the FT in schools, including through monthly calls and regular communication on Slack. - Lead, empower and mentor Student Advocates across different schools and regions. - Communicate ideas clearly between the FT and Student Advocates, ensuring feedback and suggestions are shared in both directions. - Work closely with the FT Schools team to help develop and implement ideas that support the Student Advocate programme. - Gather feedback from Student Advocates on developing projects and find opportunities to improve engagement. - Connect with teachers to share ideas and provide updates on their Student Advocate’s progress. - Support a positive, inclusive and collaborative environment for students taking part in the programme.
