Job Description

Tax Manager – Direct Tax

Remote

• Oversee global direct tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other direct tax filings across all company entities. • Partner with external tax advisors to support filings, documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions. • Ensure ongoing compliance with local tax authorities, mitigating risk and maintaining strong relationships. • Identify, monitor, and address potential tax risks, proposing actionable solutions. • Assist in managing audits and inspections, liaising with tax authorities to resolve issues efficiently. • Provide strategic tax guidance on cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, and tax-efficient planning aligned with business objectives. • Keep up-to-date with changes in global tax laws and proactively adapt processes and strategies. • Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, supporting their development and day-to-day execution. • Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in international direct taxation across multiple jurisdictions, preferably gained within a consultancy or multinational corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of global corporate tax rules, cross-border compliance, tax treaties, and EU Directives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder communication skills across regions and functions.
  • Startup or fintech experience is a plus.
  • Prior remote work experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Post-Graduate or Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
