Senior Business Analyst

Role Description This role is delivery-focused and requires a hands-on, technically capable Senior Business Analyst who can operate independently, partner closely with engineering teams, and translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements across AWS-based, API-driven, and UI-centric solutions. Responsibilities - Lead the elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements. - Translate stakeholder objectives into clear and actionable requirements for application features, workflows, APIs, and integrations. - Develop and maintain structured requirements artifacts such as functional specifications, process flows, and inventories. - Own page-level and feature-level requirements for a modern web application. - Create lightweight wireframes and low-fidelity mockups to support requirement clarification and validation. - Collaborate closely with React UI engineers, API engineers, and AWS architects. - Identify, document, and maintain an inventory of metadata fields and definitions. - Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams throughout discovery and delivery. - Support testing activities by validating test cases, participating in UAT, and ensuring requirements coverage. - Assist with integration and deployment readiness by validating end-to-end workflows and data handoffs. Qualifications - 7+ years of Business Analyst experience, including delivery of complex technical solutions. - Strong experience documenting functional and technical requirements. - API familiarity and experience working with modern web and mobile UI concepts. - Working knowledge of AWS-based platforms and AI/IDP solutions. - Experience working in Agile / iterative delivery environments. - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Traits - CBAP or other Business Analysis certification. - Experience in public sector or regulated environments. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Collaborative and adaptive mindset. Education & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required with significant relevant experience. Job Type & Location - This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.
