Regional Sales Manager

Role Description The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving growth of Quality Steel products across the Southeast territory by delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions. This role develops and executes strategic business plans to achieve sales targets for both existing and prospective customers, leveraging market insights and industry knowledge to identify opportunities and expand the company’s customer base in alignment with organizational goals. The RSM monitors performance through regular analysis of sales data, ensuring strategies are effective and results driven. As a key member of the Quality Steel Sales Team, the RSM operates in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to a shared commitment to performance, customer success, and continuous growth. Key Responsibilities - Partner with the Director of Sales to establish and align territory sales targets for Quality Steel. - Develop and execute strategies to grow existing accounts, closing sales to meet or exceed targets. - Regularly assess progress with the Director of Sales and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. - Proactively engage with customers to understand needs, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of service. - Build strong, lasting relationships with customers. - Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, memberships, trade shows, digital channels, and other sources. - Maintain an active pipeline of prospective customers. - Design and implement strategic plans to expand Quality Steel’s customer base. - Develop tailored proposals and follow through to successfully close new business. - Continuously enhance sales-related skills, including presentation development and public speaking. - Maintain a strong understanding of current and upcoming product offerings. - Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales activity, closed business, and monthly forecasts. - Stay informed on market conditions, industry trends, and competitive landscape. - Represent Quality Steel at trade shows, marketing events, and other industry engagements. - Collaborate with vendors, distributors, and internal teams to drive alignment and achieve business objectives. - Lead by example by demonstrating LT Corporation’s “The Way We Lead” behaviors. - Participate in activities that support sales growth initiatives for LP Cylinder, as needed. Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of experience in successful sales in the manufacturing industry required; heavy industrial manufacturing experience a plus. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). - Successful prior experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Requirements - Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. - Strong organizational skills; keeps timelines and meets deadlines. - Ability to communicate and build relationships throughout the organization. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills. - Ability to lead at the strategic and tactical levels. - High self-awareness and emotional intelligence. - Aligned with highest integrity and family values. Education and Certification Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field. Travel - Overnight and seasonal travel into the territory to visit accounts, distributors, and represent Quality Steel at trade shows. - Key accounts/Distributor visits typically seen in person every 90 days.
