• Lead preconstruction efforts for new data center developments, expansions, and retrofits. • Manage the creation of project budgets, cost models, rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) estimates, and detailed take-offs. • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestone plans, and procurement timelines. • Conduct constructability reviews, value engineering analyses, and risk assessments. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to refine scopes, align on design intent, and resolve technical questions. • Lead design review meetings, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and cost alignment. • Identify and prequalify contractors, consultants, and vendors for upcoming projects. • Coordinate bid processes, including issuing RFPs, analyzing proposals, and supporting contract award recommendations. • Own preconstruction cost planning, tracking, benchmarking, and estimating accuracy. • Prepare clear, executive-ready reports, summaries, and recommendations for leadership.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction management, ideally with mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Proven expertise in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for complex builds.
- Experience managing design coordination, contractor prequalification, and competitive bid processes.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, infrastructure, and ground-up construction practices.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
