Enterprise Applications Engineering Manager

• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solutions engineers • Conduct performance management, career development planning, and regular feedback cycles • Set team culture, operating cadence, and engineering standards from the ground up • Partner with leadership on hiring plans, team structure, and long-term growth • Work closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments • Translate evolving requirements into clear technical solutions and execution plans • Drive rapid iteration cycles and enable teams to ship quickly while maintaining quality • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and success metrics • Track progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers • Identify and remove blockers to keep teams moving efficiently • Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences • Own team-level reporting and operational metrics, including: • Delivery status and project health • Resource utilization and capacity planning • SLA adherence and incident trends • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes • Establish and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms • Manage documentation standards across solutions, integrations, and processes • Provide hands-on technical leadership when needed, especially in early stages • Drive delivery of high-quality software across multiple initiatives in fast-moving environments • Perform hands-on technical work while also providing guidance and direction to team members on implementation, best practices, and problem-solving. • Leverage advanced AI tools (including Claude, Level 3 proficiency) to enhance productivity, automate workflows, and support decision-making.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering or released experience, including 4+ years managing engineers
- Experience leading high-performing teams and delivering complex projects
- Solid understanding of modern software architecture and system design
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, and agile practices
- Proven ability to operate both as an individual contributor and a technical guide/mentor.
- Advanced proficiency with AI tools, specifically Claude (Level 3 or equivalent), including prompt engineering, workflow integration, and practical application in a business or technical environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable guidance for others.
- Strong communication, stakeholder and project management skills
- Ability to translate business goals into technical execution
- Experience with hiring, coaching, and performance management of engineers
