Senior Staff Software Engineer

• Lead the design and development of new systems and services—taking products from concept to launch • Architect and develop scalable, event-driven distributed systems and APIs that power our GRC solutions, leveraging integrations and third-party services • Learn and adapt to GRC principles and apply them effectively in software development • Collaborate across product, design, and engineering to meet aggressive timelines without sacrificing quality. • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices and coding standards • Mentor and influence engineers across teams, raising the bar on technical excellence • Define success measures, establish KPIs and metrics to ensure solutions deliver meaningful business and customer value • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated tests (unit, integration, functional, etc.) with Workiva solutions in mind to ensure software quality and reliability • Drive product discovery activities with customers and stakeholders to gain insights, validate hypotheses, and identify opportunities for innovation • Communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, using clear and concise language • Participate in production on-call support rotation
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical field
- Solid understanding of computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and cloud-based distributed systems
- Experience working in a production engineering environment
- Experience delivering end-to-end solutions, including initiating and driving projects forward
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments with shifting priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptability skills, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in software engineering
- Curiosity, accountability, and a passion for creating impactful change.

Position Overview The position within CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops) will focus on the development of Citrix-Managed Cloud Services product line, which will present you with a unique opportunity to solve complex problems . In this role, you will tackle high-stakes challenges within PVS (Provisioning Services) while building elite-level expertise across major platforms like Azure, GCP, AWS, VMware, and XenServer . Duties and Responsibilities Design and maintain low-level streaming drivers, including custom networking and storage stacks. Expertly manage the Windows boot process by implementing custom miniport drivers that provide the system boot disk at the earliest stages of OS initialization. Utilize deep expertise in NDIS (Network Driver Interface Specification) and STORPORT to architect high-performance data paths that bridge network communication with disk I/O. Develop and support UEFI firmware applications based on industry standards (e.g., Tiano Core /EDK II) to manage pre-boot execution and hardware handoffs. Architect and troubleshoot end-to-end network boot pipelines using PXE, TFTP, DHCP, and DNS to facilitate bare-metal and virtual machine provisioning. Own the development of VHD/VHDX stack implementations, ensuring compatibility and high performance across both user-mode applications and kernel-mode operations. Engineer sophisticated "write cache" solutions using VHDX differencing disks .
