Role Description The Application Engineer position is responsible for organizing, modifying, and supporting assigned retail or commercial banking software platforms. In collaboration with our technology partners, this position will assist in the development, enhancements and QA testing of current and new systems. They work directly with end-users to coach and teach how to best utilize systems, as well as address user-support issues when they occur. Performs other projects and duties as assigned. - Manage and maintain the configuration and implementation of assigned systems. - Support the administrative needs of assigned systems. - Develop effective testing strategies/plan relevant to projects in flight. - Provide thorough feedback through the execution of test cases under varying criterion. - Track system-related defects, bugs, glitches, and other issues and report to vendors. - Troubleshoot problems reported by users. - Support the ongoing development of testing procedures, cases, scripts, and related documentation. - Create operating procedures and documentation for new and existing processes. - Work with multiple teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. - Assist with maintaining, installing, and deploying system component upgrades as needed. - Assist IT with maintaining system security and availability to specific users. - Evaluate and modify system performance. - Create and monitor support cases with vendors supporting lines of business. - Partner appropriately with other IT departments to address any needs. Requirements - Minimum 3 years of related experience required. - Microsoft designation required. - Banking experience strongly preferred. - Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing preferred.
