Lead Workday Finance Administrator

GEHA Health

Role Description The Workday Finance Administrator Lead is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of Workday Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Adaptive Planning, and Payroll solutions. The role provides strategic recommendations on critical technical decisions that impact project outcomes and business operations. The Workday Admin Lead performs and oversees hands‑on configuration of Workday Financial products and Adaptive Planning, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business needs. This role leads by allocating and managing assignments for the Workday Finance Administrator across finance workstreams and is accountable for data integrity, user training, system testing, report writing, and analyzing end‑to‑end data flows to identify process improvement opportunities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer information services, Accounting, or a related field. - 6+ years of in-depth Workday system configuration experience with Workday Finance and Adaptive Planning. - Strong foundational understanding of Workday Finance best practices & knowledge of key accounting concepts. - Strong foundational understanding of Workday Adaptive Planning best practices & knowledge of key planning concepts. - Strong understanding of Workday Payroll best practice & knowledge of key payroll concepts. - Strong understanding of Workday design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools. - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills. - Strong project management skills with a demonstrated record of success leading key initiatives from start to finish. - Able to develop strong relationships with employees and all levels of management and partnerships with key stakeholders. - Effective communication and presentation skills. Requirements - Workday Advanced Reporting. - Workday Finance Certification. - Experience as a Workday Lead supporting multiple Workday SKUs in collaboration with different Workday Administrators. - Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office. - A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required. - Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms. - Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role. - A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. The target pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. - Perform a thorough analysis to ensure the quality of each loan and to determine compliance with Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines. - Conduct Verification of Income (VOI). - Calculate customer’s front and back-end debt to income ratio. - Verify occupancy, hardship and income. - Apply payment waterfall to determine workout eligibility (repayment plan, forbearance, modification or liquidation options). - If applicable, identify the type(s) and amounts of liquid assets the borrower holds. - Determine and communicate needed conditions to properly document the file (reason for default letter, updated pay stubs, bankruptcy papers, etc.). - Complete system tasks as required to maintain compliance with Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines. - Document final decision and update system of record.
