Role Description Develop and lead account-level strategies to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term customer partnerships within assigned accounts. This role is responsible for managing the full scope of account performance, including strategic planning, execution, and relationship management, while operating with a high degree of autonomy. The Account Executive translates Amy’s enterprise and AOP priorities into customer-specific strategies, balancing customer needs with business objectives across assortment, pricing, promotion, and merchandising. This role requires strong analytical thinking, cross-functional influence, and the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities in a dynamic environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Account Strategy & Business Ownership - Develop and own medium- to long-term account strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer retention. - Identify opportunities to expand, protect, and diversify the business across assigned accounts. - Translate enterprise priorities and AOP goals into actionable account-level plans with measurable outcomes. - Proactively assess risks and opportunities, adjusting strategies to optimize performance. - Customer Relationship Management - Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders, influencing decisions and strengthening long-term partnerships. - Lead customer engagements and business reviews with a focus on growth, performance, and value creation. - Navigate complex customer dynamics and resolve issues with a solutions-oriented, business-first mindset. - Revenue Growth & Performance Management - Identify and drive cross-sell, up-sell, and repeat business opportunities using data, insights, and market trends. - Monitor and analyze account performance and provide actionable recommendations. - Leverage data to inform strategy and influence outcomes. - Financial & Trade Investment Management - Own forecasting and financial planning for assigned accounts. - Manage trade spend and promotional investments to deliver profitable growth. - Evaluate ROI of promotions and recommend optimizations. - Execution & Operational Excellence - Ensure execution of pricing, promotional, and merchandising strategies. - Drive distribution gains and optimize assortment. - Conduct store visits and market assessments. - Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence - Partner with internal teams to align on priorities and deliver results. - Influence without authority to drive alignment and remove barriers. - Provide guidance and share best practices to support peers or brokers. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. - 3 to 5+ years of experience in food sales or consumer products. - Experience working within Natural and Grocery Channels preferred. - Advanced account management and strategic planning capability. - Strong analytical skills. - Financial acumen including trade investment and profitability analysis. - Ability to manage complex problems and make decisions independently. - Strong influencing and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities. - Cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
