Virtual Real Estate Underwriter – Acquisitions Analyst

Scale Virtually VA

• Serve as the gatekeeper of deal quality for our Austin, TX acquisitions pipeline. • Responsible for sourcing, analyzing, underwriting, and coordinating deals. • Monitor Austin-area MLS daily to identify properties within our buy box. • Review inbound opportunities from agents, wholesalers, and off-market sources. • Gather and validate property, comp, rental, and market data. • Calculate MAO, ARV, and projected cash-on-cash returns. • Coordinate underwriting workflow once deals show potential. • Maintain clean, structured, and version-controlled deal tracking systems.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on US real estate underwriting experience (SFR + small multifamily, value-add focus)
  • Proven ability to independently classify deals (Pass / Keep / Escalate)
  • Strong understanding of ARV analysis, comps, investor buy boxes, and pro forma modeling
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel
  • Strong understanding of US residential real estate financing structures and terminology
  • Ability to identify missing data and independently drive deals from intake to underwriting completion
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
