In this role, you will work closely with our internal French translator/editor to translate, edit, and adapt recipe content while ensuring consistency with the HelloFresh tone of voice and culinary terminology standards. This is a long-term freelance collaboration consisting of weekly structural support, alongside additional coverage during holiday periods. - Translate recipe content from English into French in Google Sheets, including: recipe titles, subtitles, and step-by-step cooking instructions. - Edit and refine existing recipes requiring updates, revisions, or text alterations. - Ensure all French culinary terminology aligns with the HelloFresh writing style guide and brand tone of voice throughout all translation and editing tasks. - Collaborate closely with the internal French translator/editor and the editing team to support the editing team’s workflows. - Help maintain quality and continuity during holiday coverage periods. - The role will potentially shift more toward editing and refinement of AI-assisted translations over time. Qualifications - You are a native French speaker (preferably from Wallonia) with excellent English comprehension. - Experience in translation and editing, or copywriting. - Strong attention to detail and consistency in language and tone. - Familiarity with culinary terminology and food-related content. - Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively. - Previous experience in food, e-commerce, or consumer brands is a plus.
