Job Description

Senior Combustion Engineer – Fired Solutions

Zeeco, Inc.

• Diagnose all types of fired equipment, including furnaces, heaters, boilers, flares, incinerators, and ancillary systems. • Assess mechanical integrity, operational suitability, and remaining equipment life. • Identify failures, malfunctions, and develop engineered solutions. • Recommend maintenance scopes, review completed work and evaluate spare parts strategies. • Conduct preliminary heater and furnace surveys and generate pre turnaround reports. • Support commissioning activities, including equipment receipt checks, installation reviews, and startup assistance. • Coordinate with Zeeco subject matter experts to deliver complete customer solutions. • Develop scopes of inquiry and integrate applications and project teams as needed. • Facilitate customer training and educational sessions. • Visit existing and new clients to ensure Zeeco is included on AMLs for all product lines. • Identify new business opportunities and generate inquiries. • Build trust with key decision makers and influencers. • Conduct site surveys, troubleshoot equipment, and provide technical assistance. • Gather market intelligence, support quote clarifications, and help secure orders. • Collaborate with Zeeco sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and other internal teams. • Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities at customer facilities. • Strengthen the performance of Zeeco representatives/agents or identify new partners. • Deliver technical presentations and training to customer groups. • Provide feedback to product groups for continuous improvement. • Track customer turnaround schedules and promote Zeeco products and services accordingly. • Work in full compliance with Zeeco HSE and Quality systems.

Job Requirements

  • Technical or engineering qualification required.
  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience with combustion fired equipment is essential.
  • Mechanical or process engineering background preferred, commissioning or field experience highly valued.
  • Strong relationship building skills and confidence in customer interactions.
  • Flexible, hardworking, and collaborative team player.
  • Proactive self-starter able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and lateral problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to “go the extra mile” for customers.
  • Ability to travel internationally, including to remote or challenging locations.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Strong presentation skills, including comfort presenting to large audiences.

In this role, you will work directly with the Chief Technology Officer to build, maintain, and modernize the Laravel-based applications that power our sport.
