Solution Consultant – Adaptive ERP
QAD
• Conduct high-impact, interactive client discovery sessions to uncover deep business pain points, strategic goals, and operational bottlenecks • Actively participate in the qualification process, analysing prospect requirements to ensure our Adaptive ERP, and complementary solutions are the perfect engine for their needs • Design, build, and deliver compelling software demonstrations and executive presentations • Partner with the sales team—acting as a seamless, elite pit crew—to build customised win strategies, craft RFP/RFI responses, and navigate complex technical evaluations • Maintain a premier level of knowledge regarding QAD’s suite of solutions, manufacturing industry trends, and the competitive grid
Job Requirements
- Five+ years within a sales environment selling ERP
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high morale and activity levels during long-tail deals
- Proven track record in a customer-facing Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role within the enterprise software (SaaS) space
- A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and quality management principles
- The ability to think on your feet, translate technical jargon into business value, and adapt quickly during live, outcome-focused demonstrations when conditions change
- Experience with Generative AI in the workplace to make tasks efficient
- APICS Certifications: CPIM/CSCP (nice to have)
- Competitor Insight: Hands-on experience or deep competitive knowledge of alternative ERP products (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics) (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Generative AI applications and how they are transforming enterprise software and supply chain analytics (nice to have)
- Understanding of AWS infrastructure and modern cloud deployment methodologies (nice to have)
- Advanced Education: An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems (nice to have)
