Senior Associate, Data Analytics (Private Credit Operations) Sallie Mae Bank, 300 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713 Full time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday What you'll do: - Support the analytics team in conducting financial data analysis, modeling, and reporting to deliver insights and recommendations. - Gathering, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency. - Develop models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. - Designs Guardrails for KPIs. Designs, tracks and reports MIS to guide business tactics. - Tracks initiative performance against forecast. Optimize targeting within budget constraints. - Create presentations on findings and provide sound recommendations to leadership to influence strategic business decision-making. - Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and data management processes. - Remote work permitted up to 3 days within a reasonable commuting distance of the Newark, DE office. WHAT YOU HAVE: Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or closely related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst or related role where required experience was gained. Employer will also accept a Master's in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or closely related field of study in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and two years of experience. Also requires education or experience in the following: - SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in analytics such as SAS; - Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI; - Conduct data analysis to support business planning and decision making; and - Development and maintaining data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures.
