Role Description Our client is a leading Education Tech platform startup in USA. They are seeking an Academic Advisor to join their team and support students in achieving their educational and career goals. The Academic Advisor will provide guidance on course selection, academic planning, and career pathways while helping students navigate academic policies and resources. In this role, you will work closely with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop tailored academic plans and offering support to ensure their success. You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to enhance student experiences and promote retention and graduation rates. - Advise students on course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies. - Assist students in creating individualized academic and career plans aligned with their goals. - Provide information on college resources, support services, and transfer opportunities. - Monitor student progress and intervene with support strategies when needed. - Conduct workshops and informational sessions on academic success, study skills, and career exploration. - Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to support student development. - Maintain accurate records of advising sessions and student outcomes. - Stay up-to-date with educational regulations, curriculum changes, and best practices in academic advising. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Academic Advising, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in academic advising or student support services. - Strong knowledge of academic programs, degree requirements, and student development theories. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse student populations. - Ability to create individualized academic plans and provide career guidance. - Experience conducting workshops and collaborating with faculty and staff. - Proficient with advising software, student information systems, and Microsoft Office. - Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to student success and retention. Requirements - Salary is based on location and experience.
