VP, Business Development, ESS & Solar O&M
Pearce Services
• Own revenue growth, pipeline conversion, and long-term booked revenue performance across ESS and Solar O&M accounts • Convert an established pipeline into multi-million-dollar, long-term service agreements • Develop and close new business opportunities across Energy Storage (BESS) and Solar O&M markets • Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with developers, IPPs, asset owners, EPCs, and OEM partners • Lead complex commercial discussions involving SLAs, availability guarantees, warranty coordination, augmentation strategy, and LTSA/O&M contract structures • Personally lead strategic deal pursuits while helping scale and support an established BD team • Develop scalable business development strategies, repeatable sales motions, and standardized deal frameworks to support national growth • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful contract execution and margin performance • Provide market intelligence related to pricing, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of business development experience within renewable energy, solar, and/or energy storage markets
- Proven track record closing complex, multi-million-dollar service agreements and long-term customer partnerships
- Existing relationships with decision-makers across the solar and energy storage ecosystem
- Deep understanding of BESS service models, O&M programs, and LTSA contract structures
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements involving SLAs, performance guarantees, and operational risk allocation
- Experience operating as both an individual contributor and team leader
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and operational leadership teams
- Proven ability to build scalable commercial processes and high-performing business development organizations
- Strategic, highly accountable, and results-driven with a strong ownership mindset
- Comfortable traveling approximately 25–50% for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events
