Role Description Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Export Controls & Sanctions. Global Trade Compliance is part of Kenvue’s Legal & Compliance organization supporting multiple functions across Kenvue. This role will drive the development and implementation of the Export Controls and Trade Sanctions (ECTS) strategy in collaboration with partners across the organization, promote awareness of export rules and ensure implementation of compliance solutions. The Senior Manager will also help guide a team of Global Trade professionals operating across a complex regulatory and systems landscape. Key Responsibilities: - Provide guidance on Global laws and regulations pertaining to the export control and sanctions regulations with regards to Products, Software, and Technology transfers, sales, services, and remittances to entities or individuals. - Provide support to the Restricted Party Screening program by evaluating true hits and working with business partners to determine appropriate remediation activities. - Deploy and update ECTS Process Governance (Policy, SOP’s and Standards) in partnership with related compliance functions and regional teams as well as partnership development in various teams such as engineering, IT, and Research & Development. - Develop strategic vision for ECTS program with short, mid and long term scope priorities. - Lead external service providers, as needed, for project based activities related to the ECTS program; managing budget and on-time delivery thereof. - Document current state processes, identify ideal process enhancements, and prepare Kenvue for future technology adoptions (AI, go-to-market, automation, etc.). - Advise regional teams and functions on existing and emerging ECTS regulations, including internal and external audit remediation, new sanctions, export licenses and product classifications. - Responsible for export control license application process and management (globally). - Establish, communicate and measure proposed solutions for global ECTS related data, process and automation initiatives aligned with global strategy. - Identify, evaluate and recommend digital and automation enhancements to generate process efficiencies. - Responsible for incident management, identifying gaps, ensuring remediation and continually improving metrics, as well as leading or participating in outside audits/disclosures with related agencies. - Conduct training activities related to the classification of products, software, and technology; embargos, sanctions, and special controls; license applications; restricted party screening; antiboycott; and the completion of export documents. - Conduct periodic risk assessments including reviews of the impact of new regulations; contribute to periodic reporting on export controls to senior management; participate in reviews and contribute to resolution of export control related incidents. - Participate in and influence compliance forums internally and externally. - Communicate impact of key global ECTS changes. Qualifications - Minimum Bachelor’s degree is required. - A minimum of 7 years overall business experience, preferably with a focus in global trade compliance, and management of large programs. - Strong project management experience. - Regulatory knowledge and proven application of ECTS regulations to complex business environments. - Experience defining, assessing and measuring country specific regulatory compliance programs against global SOPs and standards. - Proven record to deliver complex programs through influence rather than authority. - Ability to promote a strategy and motivate change to transform organizations, via strong engagement/communication. - Strong collaboration, influencing skills to inspire trust and effectively build relationships is required. - Proven experience in driving decisions and results in a highly complex and rapidly changing environment. Requirements - Experience with Global Trade Management systems and emerging trade compliance solutions. - Experience in CPG or Life Sciences industry. - Certified US Export Compliance Officer certification, or equivalent, is preferred.
