Role Description This role is primarily responsible for governance, oversight, and risk management of Third‑Party Administrators (TPAs) supporting Institutional Markets products. In addition, the role provides targeted support for Structured Settlements new business onboarding, partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure operational readiness and controlled transition to in‑force administration. The position serves as a governance and escalation point, providing leadership visibility into vendor performance, operational risk, and onboarding execution. Responsibilities - Provide day‑to‑day governance and oversight of TPAs supporting Institutional Markets products, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, SLAs, regulatory expectations, and internal operational standards. - Serve as an escalation point for TPA operational issues and risks, including control gaps, service deficiencies, and remediation planning; partner with vendor owners on resolution strategies. - Maintain and enhance standardized TPA oversight routines, including KPI performance reporting and tracking, dashboards, and control documentation to provide leadership visibility into operational health and vendor performance. - Coordinate and support TPA audits, on‑site reviews, regulatory inquiries, and internal risk assessments, including tracking findings, action plans, and timely closure. - Support contractual and financial oversight activities, translating contract and work order requirements into executable controls, KPIs, and monitoring routines, and partnering with Finance on fee and expense oversight. - Support Structured Settlements new business onboarding by partnering with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external administrators to assess operational readiness, controls, service delivery alignment, and transition to in‑force administration. - Proactively identify and manage emerging operational, vendor, and concentration risks, including business continuity and resiliency considerations, and lead or support initiatives leveraging data analytics, automation, and AI‑enabled tools to enhance vendor oversight and onboarding scalability. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience - 7+ years of experience in direct insurance operations, pension risk transfer, structured settlements, TPA oversight, or related administrative functions - Demonstrated experience working with third-party administrators and outsourced service models - Strong governance, oversight, and risk assessment capabilities - Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with TPAs, legal counsel, compliance, auditors, and senior leadership - Ability to analyze operational processes, identify gaps, and recommend pragmatic solutions - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives concurrently - Sound judgment, discretion, and decision-making capabilities in escalations and risk matters - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) - Ability to identify, evaluate, and responsibly apply AI-enabled tools (e.g., analytics, automation, Copilot-style solutions) to enhance operational oversight, reporting accuracy, risk identification, and scalability, in alignment with governance and compliance expectations - Position requires travel up to 15%.
