Respiratory Therapist – Bilingual Preferred

• Collaborates with our clinical team on developing, facilitating, training, and educating patients with chronic respiratory disease using virtual/remote technology. • Assists in ongoing program improvement efforts, including making recommendations on new processes, tools, and techniques. • Assists in the development of clinical and non-clinical staff by providing education and conducting ongoing training programs. • Delivers Pulmonary Rehabilitation sessions virtually from our San Luis Obispo facility. • Provides patients with education and exercise programs. • Collaborates with the team to develop patient teaching materials and protocols to enhance our Virtual Pulmonary Rehabilitation program. • Assesses patient health before, during, and after program. • Documents clear and concise notes in the medical record. • Maintains strong and current knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation information via lectures, seminars, independent reading, etc. • Complies with all company policies, federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements, as applicable. • Other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Associate's Level Degree
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred.
  • Current RCP license in the state of California
  • Strong knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation is a plus
  • 1 year working as a licensed Respiratory Therapist
  • Knowledge of chronic respiratory conditions (i.e., COPD, Asthma)
  • Experience with respiratory and exercise equipment
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to use video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient and client experience & outcomes.
  • Experience with Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the outpatient and/or virtual setting is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Required Qualifications: - Minimum of four years experience delivering primary care in an ambulatory/outpatient family medicine or internal medicine setting. - Experience independently managing a patient panel as the designated primary care provider. - Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner and RN license in state of residence; ability to be licensed in additional states as required. - Current and active board certification by a national certifying body through ANCC or AANP. - Must maintain active Medicare status and not be excluded, sanctioned, or reprimanded by any state or federal healthcare program (including Medicare/Medicaid), the OIG, or the GSA. - Comfortability addressing a broad variety of medical conditions, including acute and chronic conditions as well as preventative issues. - Ability and willingness to treat all ages across the lifespan. - Must have a professional, private, and secure home office environment for virtual patient visits. - Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, compassionate care and support to patients and families during challenging situations. - Ability to manage high patient volumes and competing priorities in a dynamic clinical environment while maintaining quality of care. - Strong proficiency with technology and electronic health platforms; experience with telehealth preferred. Shift Obligations: - 40 hours per week, consisting of 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Additionally, staff are required to work one 8-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday every fourth weekend. When a weekend shift is worked, one weekday off will be provided that week to maintain a 40-hour schedule. - Standard shift hours fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM in the clinicians time zone, including one evening shift per week that extends until at least 7:00 PM. Role Description The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role is a field-based, non-sales focused position, working with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key Decision Makers (KDMs), and Academic Medical Institutions. The Sr. MSL will collaborate with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and KOLs to provide both proactive and reactive medical education to ensure that HCPs have the most up-to-date information.
