Manager, Leisure Sales

Direct Travel

Role Description As an integral part of the Direct Travel North America Leisure Sales Management Team, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth, while supporting Direct Travel Leisure, the team, and our preferred partner objectives. This role will oversee one of four specialized sales teams, each aligned with a distinct advisor growth path: Tours, Cruise, Hotels & Resorts, and Active & Adventure. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing team and Virtuoso to strengthen brand visibility and engagement across your teams. This position works in partnership with fellow Leisure Sales Managers and reports directly to the Director of Leisure Sales. This is a remote position, and applicants who are legally authorized to work in the US or Canada are welcome to apply. Expedition Expectations - Managing, mentoring and coaching staff advisors, branch supervisors and branch managers within the team to ensure that all quality and service standards are met. - Responsible for ensuring that standard operating processes and procedures are adhered to, including GDS script usage, CB+ ResCard and invoicing standards, and CB+ Marketing coding standards. - Work with Direct Travel’s Marketing team to optimize lead generation programs to grow business within each team and to effectively market travel opportunities to new and current clients. - Assist in coordination of scheduling for regional offices with backup procedure if necessary. - Ensure employees are compliant with all company policies and processes. - Ensure customer service standards per Direct Travel’s policy manual. - Work directly with Advisors on any error issues to resolve while keeping the management team informed. - Provide ongoing training support to regional advisors and teams with a particular focus on sales growth and strategic partnerships. - Participate in all Management meetings, Virtuoso events when required. - Escalate issues to the next level of management as necessary. - Maintain and promote professional and courteous client relations by managing a prompt and accurate response to telephone and email communications. - Organize and participate in local/regional events to promote travel, drive leads, and close sales. - Collaborate with Operations to optimize processes and efficiencies with a focus on travel advisors. Qualifications - Minimum 8 years travel agency experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software. - GDS Experience an asset. - Ability to demonstrate leadership along with personal and organizational integrity. - The capability of working in a team environment supporting management and staff, following policies, providing feedback, assisting in special projects, and taking on additional responsibility. - Effective oral and written communications skills. - Travel to Regional offices within North America as needed. - Action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined. - Capability of maintaining a favorable company image when interfacing with outside sources. - Proven pursuit of learning and self-development. - Ability to manage responsibilities in a manner to result in lower costs and better efficiencies for the company. Role Description Indonesia is the world’s third-largest rice producer, with over 8 million smallholder farming households cultivating rice. Rice cultivation is also one of Indonesia’s largest sources of agricultural methane and water use, making it both a massive climate challenge and an extraordinary opportunity for high-quality carbon removal. The Country Lead – Indonesia is a founding role. You will design, launch, and scale Mitti Labs’ initial projects in Indonesia. You will lead the team from our first pilot cohort of farmers to a multi-province, high-impact program. You will wear strategy and operations hat and build a capable team from scratch. - Market Entry - Design and own Indonesia’s operations roadmap: regional feasibility, budget planning, and building partnerships. - Develop localized farmer onboarding strategies that reflect regional value chains, community power structures, last-mile realities, and seasonal farming calendars. - Navigate Indonesia’s carbon regulatory landscape: KLHK carbon registry, SRN-PPI compliance, and emerging domestic carbon market mechanisms. - On-Ground Operations - Design and manage district specific operational playbooks - SOPs, training manuals, QA/QC frameworks. - Build genuine trust with farming communities at the grassroots level — understanding local power dynamics, working with village heads, FPO leaders, and community mobilizers. - Team Building & Leadership - Hire and develop a high-performing in-country team. - Build a culture that reflects Mitti’s ethos. - Manage external implementation partners and field agent networks.
