The position is responsible for leading requirements discovery, workflow analysis, and stakeholder collaboration for HL7- and FHIR-based interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient workflows, interface engines, and Epic Bridges, and will support a data integration team handling significant merger and acquisition activities. Key Responsibilities - Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions for HL7 and FHIR interface initiatives. - Analyze and document end-to-end patient workflows and system interactions. - Develop and maintain interface specifications, mapping documents, and acceptance criteria. - Collaborate with HL7 developers, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders. - Drive vendor discussions by asking informed technical and workflow-based questions. - Identify when architectural input is required and proactively engage integration architects. - Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including message validation. - Ensure integration solutions are production-ready and meet business requirements. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage backlog items using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira. - Communicate risks, dependencies, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT or integration-focused business analysis. Demonstrated experience supporting HL7-based healthcare integrations and working in Agile delivery environments is required. Technical Skills: A strong working knowledge of HL7 v2 messaging, a foundational understanding of FHIR concepts, and hands-on experience with healthcare interface engines are required. Certifications: An active Epic Bridges Certification is required. Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting large-scale EMR or enterprise integration programs. - Familiarity with interoperability governance and healthcare data exchange standards. - A strong understanding of clinical and patient workflows. - A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field. - HL7 or FHIR-related certification. The Crime Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Investigations Bureau by transforming data into actionable intelligence that guides investigative and operational decisions. This position evaluates crime patterns and emerging issues to help the Department prevent crime, support investigative efforts, and allocate resources effectively. The Crime Analyst works closely with investigative and administrative personnel and is trusted to independently manage analytical projects and deliver timely, meaningful insights. Given that this is a part-time, at-will, non-benefitted position, hours will be limited to less than 1,000 hours per fiscal year. Hours worked may vary significantly from week to week. Must be available for shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays.
