Financial Coordinator – Aging & Disabilities
Sedgwick County Government
• Responsible for the receipt, tracking and review of accuracy of Integrated Service Plans. • Responsible for the creation and management of locally managed resource funding plans. • Perform fiscal functions to process accounts payable and receivable. • Responsible for fiscal reporting activities of the CDDO. • Monitor timely receipt of Integrated Service Plans (ISP) and review plans for accuracy. • Follow up with Managed Care Organization to obtain corrections or missing information on ISPs. • Enter ISP contents into data collection system. • Responsible for creation and distribution of funding plans, tracking and coordination of approved purchases. • Responsible for accounts payable processing; monitor and tracking of receipt invoices, check for accuracy and forward requests to finance for processing. • Preparing reports as needed. • Complete, distribute and file notification documents i.e. 3160/3161 forms per local and state policy. • Assure Operations is made aware of any changes in data collection systems that need to be made per information received in an ISP. • Provides clerical support to Operations.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in the performance of bookkeeping and/or office clerical related work
- Some exposure to data entry methods
- Must submit to criminal, abuse/neglect registry background checks
- Ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and a language other than English (preferred)

Role Description The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and support to clients on compliance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated secondary legislation. At its core, the role focuses on providing advice to the statutory duty holders on both new and existing buildings categorized as Higher Risk Bureau Buildings, during the design, construction, and occupation phases of a building. - Deliver projects to the required quality and contribute to business growth and development activities. - Provide an expert point of reference on legislative and procedural matters relating to the application of the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the associated Secondary Legislation. - Contribute to the continuous improvement process within the business unit, assisting in the development of new assurance services. Main Duties and Responsibilities - Brief project teams on the requirements of the BSA 2022 and their required duties and competences. - Support clients throughout the project at design team meetings. - Review and advise on competence submissions. - Identify potential BSA 2022 compliance risks. - Support, review, and advise on building control approval (GW2) and completion certification (GW3) and the details of submission requirements. - Review and audit ‘golden thread’ information. - Liaise with the Building Control team to ensure timely provision of building regulations design reviews and compliance trackers. - Liaise with the Independent Construction Assessor team to ensure provision of site audits. - Attend and participate in design team meetings to provide assurance that BSA 2022 related matters are being addressed. - Escalate issues to the Director of Assurance Services where necessary. - Determine client needs and produce client proposals for Assurance Services. Qualifications - Accredited RICS/CABE/CIOB/RIBA status. - Extensive background post qualification in the built environment with demonstrable experience working with Higher Risk Buildings. - Background of working as a Senior Design Manager, Project Manager, or Architect with extensive experience of project delivery. Requirements - Ability to identify gaps in competences and capacity of the team using the guidance of PAS Flex 8670 or other specific frameworks. - Understanding of information management systems to advise the Client on how the golden thread of information is maintained. - Knowledge of technical guidance and standards governing building design and construction compliance. - Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and the design process. - Knowledge of the impact of change during design and construction on compliance. - Understanding of core criteria for building safety as identified in BSI Flex 8670. - Excellent organizational and project management skills. - Competent user of standard Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.). - Keen attention to detail with strong organizational skills. - High level of commercial acumen. - Excellent client-facing and presentation skills. - Strong analytical and report production skills. - Ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload.
