To support this mission, OSIT has initiated a multi year modernization program aimed at updating and enhancing enterprise technology systems in accordance with modern design standards Positions in this function are involved in various aspects of design, engineering and operations of the voice data networks and related equipment. Provide project planning, implementation and support of new network or voice systems and direct technical analysis of hardware, software or networks. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain Amazon Connect and supporting AWS services - Partner with product, engineering, security, and operations leaders to align platform capabilities - Develop and maintain application, technology, and data architecture - Create and maintain documentation and diagrams using tools such as Draw.io, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Confluence, and Miro. - Work across major cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and leverage cloud native technologies including Java, Azure services, Docker, Microservices/Spring Boot, and relational/NoSQL databases (MySQL, Elasticsearch, PostGreSQL) - Design and integrate REST APIs and manage API gateways - Enable real time data streaming and integrations using Kafka - Build and maintain observability solutions using Grafana - Drive innovation through the design and implementation of GenAI and AI/ML capabilities You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. The Search Query team at MongoDB builds the core infrastructure behind MongoDB Search and Vector Search. Our mission is to make advanced search capabilities feel native to the database, so developers can build powerful, scalable applications without standing up separate systems or compromising transactional performance. We are the team behind mongot, the indexing and query execution engine that powers Search and Vector Search across MongoDB Atlas and self-managed deployments. Our work sits at the intersection of distributed systems, databases, and search infrastructure. We integrate Apache Lucene with MongoDB using native query operators like $search and $vectorSearch, build asynchronous change-stream-driven indexing pipelines that scale independently from transactional workloads, and support deployments across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. Engineers on this team own meaningful subsystems, influence architectural decisions, and work on core database technology used by developers globally. What You'll Do:This is a rare opportunity to set the technical direction for one of MongoDB's most strategic investments. You will harden our infrastructure by implementing advanced resource management, admission control, and system safeguards to ensure high availability. You’ll serve as a force multiplier for the Search and Vector teams, building the foundational tooling, observability, and safeguards needed to ship high performance systems at scale.
