ABOUT THE TEAM The Strategic Media Services (SMS) team provides strategic partnership and integrated media solutions to our diverse suite of clients. We deliver Raving Fan Service by helping clients challenge their media objectives and realize their business ambitions. Powered by best-in-class research and planning tools, SMS works in partnership with our sales team to tailor our tech enabled services approach to drive better outcomes and media campaigns. WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE This position will be responsible for account management and stewardship of media services for a suite of brand and agency advertisers. This role will oversee the development and quality control of media plans as well as presenting them to client stakeholders. Your contribution will be to: - Partnering with research and strategy team members to develop and present integrated media recommendations - Maintaining a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and the latest Basis products and solutions - Mastering an understanding of how digital channels work together to drive different business outcomes - Mentoring and train junior planning team members - Bringing new ideas to clients through the latest digital innovation, research, and vertical expertise - Using syndicated research to build rationale for recommended media strategies - Collaborating with our analytics team to ensure media strategies are aligned to business objectives and measures of success - Negotiating with vendors to secure the best inventory and pricing available for our clients - Cultivating strong internal relationships with ad operations, campaign analytics, and search and social media planners. - Operating with a solutions-oriented approach and a high degree of client servicing - Ensuring high levels of campaign performance, client satisfaction, and retention, while working alongside the VP and Director of Integrated Client Solutions and Client Development team members - Remaining on-top of advertising trends and provide POVs to clients on topics such as the cookie-less future and AI enhancements - Managing insertion orders (IO's), post-IO media plan revisions, and the approval of all publisher IO's for each campaign - Actualizing campaigns to ensure campaign budgets and KPI's are met and delivered in full - Assisting Finance in billing executions and discrepancies - Completing traffic sheets and assisting with gathering creative assets and instructions as needed WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE - 4+ years of experience in digital media buying and planning - Previous experience in client servicing roles - Previous experience mentoring junior team members - Strong understanding of programmatic media and real-time bidding - Strong proficiency with holistic media planning fundamentals and media planning tools - Experience with syndicated research tools - Experience working alongside a Demand Side Platform - Strategic thinking and proactive detail-oriented client service skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong issue resolution and problem-solving capabilities - Ability to work well in a cross functional team environment - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills - Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported. - Thoughtful approach to collaboration, design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning. Role Description The Deal Desk Operations Manager will play a critical role within the Financial Operations organization, serving as the operational bridge between Sales, Finance, Revenue Recognition, Billing, Implementation, and Systems teams. This individual will own operational governance for complex and non-standard revenue generating agreements, ensuring accurate deal setup, billing, revenue recognition, and compliance across systems including Salesforce (SFDC) and NetSuite. This role combines deal structuring expertise, operational rigor, systems knowledge, and cross functional collaboration. The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced environments, understands complex commercial agreements, and can translate contractual terms into scalable operational execution. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States. Requirements - Review and operationalize complex and non-standard revenue generating agreements to ensure accurate setup across SFDC, NetSuite, billing, and revenue recognition systems. - Partner with Sales and Finance teams to ensure deal structures are executable, scalable, and compliant before contract signature. - Validate that negotiated deal terms can be cleanly configured and supported operationally within SFDC and NetSuite prior to contract execution. - Ensure accurate billing setup, revenue recognition treatment, and downstream financial reporting for all deal types. - Provide guidance to Sales teams on entering non-standard deal structures into Salesforce to ensure proper accounting and operational execution. - Perform credit evaluations on prospective partners and establish appropriate credit limits, billing terms, and payment terms. - Continuously monitor partner accounts for ongoing credit risk and recommend adjustments as needed. - Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to mitigate operational and financial risk associated with customer agreements. - Collaborate with Implementation, Systems Teams, Revenue Recognition, Billing, and other operational stakeholders to ensure partner campaigns are configured accurately. - Act as a key operational liaison between commercial and finance teams to ensure seamless execution throughout the Quote to Cash process. - Own internal compliance and operational quality controls across all systems and departments involved in the Quote to Cash lifecycle. - Ensure consistency and integrity of deal data across Salesforce, NetSuite, Mission Control, and other operational systems. - Establish and maintain scalable processes for handling non-standard deals and evolving commercial structures. - Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to improve accuracy, reduce operational risk, and increase efficiency. - Manage and oversee two offshore Order Management resources responsible for accurately capturing and maintaining revenue generating agreements within internal systems. - Establish quality standards, workflows, and performance expectations for offshore operational support. - Provide training, guidance, and process documentation to ensure operational consistency and accuracy.
