Rethink Billing Overview Our Billing Services Division specializes in Revenue Cycle Management, Enrollment and Credentialing, and Benefit Authorization Management services. Job Summary The Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for supporting our billing teams by working with our billing services team and insurance companies to ensure efficient and prompt reimbursement reconciliation for therapy sessions for our customers and actively posting payments in customers billing systems for accurate accounts receivable monitoring. Job Duties: - Ensure strict HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client-related data - Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse - Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea) - Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs - Post payments from insurance portals - Enroll in ERAs when applicable to reduce volume of manual posting & monitor/track progress of enrollment requests - Communicate trends identified when posting to Customer Billing Advocate (CBA) / AR team for client - Identify underpayments/overpayments & ensure proper communication across POD members (CBA & AR Team) for resolution - Measure and monitor key metrics related to work performance - Review & interpret payor contracts when applicable - Foster a positive work environment for colleagues - Special projects as needed Requirements: - HS Diploma or Equivalent - Minimum 1-2 years payment posting experience - ABA experience - Experience using insurance company websites/portals - Willing to learn, positive attitude and loves a good challenge - Professional phone skills - This role requires exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking and excellent communication with internal teams and insurance companies Preferred Qualifications: - Speech, OT and Mental Health experience - Minimum 1-year experience working in an office setting - Minimum 1 year experience in billing both major commercial insurance companies as well as state Medicaid programs - Experience using Billing Software (Azalea, Kareo), EMR (Rethink) and Clearinghouse systems (Waystar, Trizetto, Availity) - Proficient using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google Docs/Sheets Education: - HS Diploma or Equivalent required Benefits: - PTO and Vacation Days after a 90-day introductory period - Paid Holidays - Generous Health, Denial & Vision benefits package - 401k + Matching Job Type: Full-time, Hourly, Monday-Friday (8-5 PM) Remote opportunities are available only in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, MO, NC, NE, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA Our commitment to an inclusive workplace RethinkFirst is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
