Role Description To provide the technical skills and expertise required in developing and maintaining computer operating system software of the most complex nature. - Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL Servers (default, named & clustered instances) SQL Server 2012 to 2022. - Experience upgrading and migrating SQL instances (in-place & separate server scenarios). - Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance, using Extended Events, DMVs, Performance & Activity Monitor, SQL Profiler, etc. - Experience with High Availability & Disaster Recovery technologies, methods & best practices (TL Shipping, Availability Groups, etc.). - Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity. - Collaborate with developers to create and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, custom SQL jobs, ETL processes, linked servers, etc. - Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations in the healthcare sector. - Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including updates and patches, ad-hoc backups & restores, granting access via AD Groups, Windows & SQL logins to various SQL Servers & their databases. - Proficient in automating tasks/solutions, PowerShell, T-SQL, DBATools, etc. - Assist in data migration and integration projects as needed. - Develop and maintain documentation for database systems and procedures. - Provide support and training to end-users as necessary. - On-Call duty. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and three years of related experience. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5 years of SQL Server Administration experience (preferred). - Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS). - Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar certification is highly desirable. Requirements - Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, preferably in a healthcare environment. - Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including performance tuning and query optimization. - Experience with database backup and recovery procedures. - Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and data privacy standards. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The Contract and Grants Administrator will be responsible for the following duties: Manage a comprehensive portfolio of clinical trial and industry-sponsored research agreements across all academic units to ensure institutional protection and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will independently review and negotiate a wide array of contracts, including Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs/NDAs), Master Agreements, Subcontracts, and consortium and collaborative research contracts. Role Description The Virtualization Administrator II or equivalent is responsible for managing and maintaining the agency’s virtualized IT infrastructure to ensure its stability, performance, and security.
