IONITY
• Lead the deployment of BESS solutions across existing and new IONITY sites • Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle: planning, permitting, construction, commissioning, and handover to operations • Coordinate site development activities together with external partners, including technical adaptations for transformer stations, charging infrastructure, and grid connections • Prepare and validate site-specific technical concepts and supplier proposals • Manage grid connection applications and coordinate with local distribution network operators (DNOs) • Conduct tenders for construction and installation works and manage external construction partners • Drive communication with permitting authorities, grid operators, suppliers, and additional external stakeholders • Support the industrialization and standardization of BESS deployment processes across Europe • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners in an international environment • Prepare regular project reports and status updates for management stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field
- Master’s degree is considered a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in energy infrastructure projects such as BESS, substations, EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy systems, or other grid-connected assets
- Strong background in deployment and implementation of infrastructure projects
- Proven project management experience, including planning, permitting, construction, and operational handover
- Hands-on experience in site development and coordination of engineering and construction activities
- Experience working with distribution network operators and grid connection processes
- Proven ability to manage suppliers, contractors, and construction partners, including tendering processes
- Familiarity with European energy infrastructure standards and permitting procedures
- Experience working in cross-functional and international project environments
- Previous experience with BESS or EV charging infrastructure is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of BESS, charging infrastructure, energy supply, and distribution systems
- Expertise in low-voltage systems and substation engineering
- Experience with battery storage integration
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, OCPP, and IEC101/104
- Business fluent English is mandatory
- German and/or Dutch is a strong plus.
