Role Description The Kodak Alaris Software Developer position is responsible for development of software applications that drive the Themed Systems Products and Services. This individual will be a key member of KA’s Software Development team and requires the ability to design and develop software in a dynamic, agile development environment. The individual will work with our Rochester, NY staff either locally or remotely. Anyone working remotely may have to occasionally travel to Rochester, as needed. Themed Systems is part of Kodak Alaris’ Kodak Moments business unit, providing souvenir imaging systems and services to the Travel and Leisure market. Target customers include theme parks, resorts, destination attractions and cruise lines. Software is core to the Themed Systems Products and Services – which includes on-location imaging systems as well as cloud-based service offerings. Qualifications - Proficient with C# and Microsoft’s Visual Studio .NET v6 or later, .NET Framework (including WinForms & WPF), C++. - Experience with Object Oriented Design, Event-Driven Application architecture and programming. - Strong understanding of software design principles (e.g. layered architecture). - Experience with 3rd party integration, development and deployment of imaging solutions. - Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management tools (Scrum, Sprints, Kanban, Jira, etc.). - Experience with Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server, SQL Server v6 or later, and Web Services (Web API, RESTful Interface design, SOAP). - Strong, fluent written and verbal communication in English. - Work on problems of varying scope and levels of analysis, tracks and records progress. - Independently completes assigned tasks and actively seeks guidance when needed. Requirements - Experience in creating cutting edge cross platform thin client applications leveraging front-end technical stack consisting of Azure Cloud Services, WinForms, WPF, Xamarin, Angular, React, HTML5 and CSS. - Experience designing software to perform image processing, including integration of third-party packages such as OpenCV. - Experience with containerized software development, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux operating systems. - Experience with messaging systems (e.g., MSMQ, Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka). - Code refactoring experience. - Experience building distributed systems to run on cloud connected/disconnected environments. - Experience with API management and Cloud-based platforms and services (Azure, AWS, Google). - Experience creating microservices using serverless technology and DevOps. - Familiarity with source control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience working with package management systems, such as NuGet or NPM. - Familiarity with SOLID design principles. - Familiarity with documenting software architecture and design using the Mermaid diagramming language, ARC42 templates, or UML. - Familiarity with security and data privacy best practices (e.g., GDPR). - Familiarity with structured logging and observability tools (e.g., Seq, Serilog, Application Insights). - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as MSTEST, xUnit, or NUnit. - Experience in Java and Android. Compensation $97,000 - $125,000 annually, contingent on level of experience. Role Description We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer with a strong ownership mindset and hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor. This role combines backend and frontend development, architectural thinking, and cross-functional collaboration in a modern microservices environment. You’ll work closely with teams in Israel and Armenia, collaborating with Full Stack, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product teams to build scalable production-ready services. - Collaborate with Product Owners, development, and support teams to solve complex product and engineering challenges. - Build, maintain, and optimize services using JavaScript/TypeScript in a microservices architecture. - Work closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Full Stack teams to bring prototypes into production. - Design and maintain reusable internal libraries, shared modules, and development tooling. - Contribute to architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices across services. - Develop scalable systems using MongoDB, SingleStore, Kafka, AWS, and related technologies. - Ensure technical alignment and effective communication across cross-functional teams. Qualifications - 6+ months of hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools (Codex, Cursor, etc.), including MCP, custom .md files, and subagent workflows. - 5+ years of commercial experience with JavaScript/TypeScript across backend and frontend development. - Strong production experience with Node.js and React. - Experience working with AWS cloud environments. - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and service-to-service communication. - 2+ years of experience with Kafka and SNS/SQS. - Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, and SingleStore. - Experience working with GraphQL APIs. - Advanced English communication skills.
