Position Overview The Supply Chain Planner plays a key role in ensuring production readiness by timely Purchase Order Placement, managing critical supplier relationships, and driving the on-time delivery of materials. This role focuses on managing material planning, resolving supply chain challenges, overseeing procurement activities, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. What your day-to-day will look like: - Analyze demand in ERP, create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders. - Perform excess inventory analysis and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure availability of excess inventory while minimizing liability. - Negotiate with suppliers for quick buys and escalate PO delivery issues as necessary. - Drive PO acceptance and delivery confirmation process, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve issues. - Proactively monitor supply and demand imbalances and take corrective actions to resolve material shortages impacting production. - Monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) suppliers - Collaborate with Project Management, Strategic Procurement, and other teams to address potential delays.
