Role Description Sprintlaw operates as a legal consultancy, not a law firm. As an independent contractor at Sprintlaw, you’ll be able to log into our platform whenever you like and pick up the projects you want to do. We work flexibly with our contractors so you can decide when you work, the volume of projects you do and the type of work you do. We’ll set you up with all our online project management systems, automated invoicing system and workflow automations, so all you need to do is work with the end client to deliver their fixed-fee projects. Role Description As a Represented/ Litigation, Complex/Severe Adjuster, your main focus will be investigating automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles, which result in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involved. You will have the convenience of working remotely from your home while efficiently handling your responsibilities. You will assess coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service throughout your day. Customer and attorney communication will take place through different channels, including voice calls, email, and text messages. Through the utilization of innovative platforms and tools, you will engage in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements with all parties involved. This position is for our Represented Casualty office with a focus on handling Complex/Severe claims in the states of KY, TN, and MS. - The Customer Service Expert: You will live into Allstate’s Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring, and you will accomplish that by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each claim. You lead with empathy, always. - The Investigator: You’ll confidently and independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. - The Effective Communicator: You will use phone, emails, and sometimes even video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. You’ll also incorporate a specific approach to claim handling to offer the customer their preference of communication to efficiently discuss their claim needs and keep them updated on the claim progress. - The Negotiator: You will evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers, and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies. Qualifications - 2+ years’ experience in complex bodily injury claim handling. - 2+ Represented Bodily Injury claim handling. - Kentucky casualty claim handling experience, a plus. - Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone, to establish rapport and assess claims accurately. - Ability to work independently and remotely, while managing time efficiently. - Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination. - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully. - Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation. Requirements - This position is a permanent remote home-based role. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. • Support the Legal team (2 Legal Counsels) in day-to-day tasks across privacy, regulatory, contract, and consumer law matters. • Conduct legal research on EU digital regulations (e.g. DSA, AI Act, GDPR, Consumer Law). • Assist in reviewing and drafting legal documents (e.g. contracts, privacy policies, internal memos). • Help maintain internal compliance documentation (e.g. processing records, DPIAs, contract templates). • Contribute to monitoring regulatory developments and summarizing key insights. • Participate in cross-functional projects with teams such as Product, Trust & Safety, and Public Affairs. • Assist with organizing legal workflows and knowledge management. • Collaborate in the preparation of presentations or training sessions on legal topics.
• Work cross functionally to advise operations, product, engineering, and customer care teams on product development and new features • Perform legal research on applicable laws and regulations related to our verticals, new product features, and innovative approaches to marketing • Contract drafting, reviewing, and proofreading (including influencer agreements, freelance writer agreements, master service agreements, DPAs, third-party vendors, etc.) • Think outside the box to develop and enhance processes for legal support of travel, and fintech verticals • Collaborate often with internal stakeholders to execute on cross-company projects • Understand and balance legal risks within the context of a business • Prepare internal training materials for non-legal staff (privilege, confidentiality, influencer negotiations, data protection) • Communicate with outside counsel on a variety of matters including employment law, data protection, and litigation issues
