You bring technical credibility to earn the trust of engineering teams and the strategic mindset to shape how we invest and execute at scale. You don't just manage programs - you make them better. What You'll Be Doing - The Day to Day: - Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale, high-complexity technical programs across multiple teams and work-streams, defining program structure, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics - and holding teams accountable to them. - Partner deeply with engineering leads to understand technical architectures, constraints, and trade-offs, serving as a thought partner on sequencing, scoping, and feasibility while translating complex technical concepts into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders. - Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Security, and Operations - navigating competing priorities and organizational complexity to keep programs on track. - Shape long-term program strategy and roadmap planning by partnering with P&T leadership to inform prioritization, capacity planning, and program sequencing across planning cycles. - Identify risks early and drive resolution, keeping senior stakeholders informed with clear, concise communication while continuously improving the tools, processes, and frameworks the team uses to plan and ship. - Surface systemic gaps or inefficiencies in how we work and lead initiatives to address them. - Act as connective tissue across the P&T organization, identifying dependencies and opportunities that others miss. - Facilitate productive decision-making forums, ensuring the right people are in the room and that decisions get made. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering, or a related field, with at least 3-4 years at a senior or staff level in a software or technology environment. - Strong technical foundation - comfortable discussing system design, infrastructure, APIs, and software development lifecycles, with the credibility to engage as a peer with engineering teams. - Proven ability to lead complex, multi-team programs and deliver results without direct authority in a fast-moving environment. - Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt your message for engineers, executives, and everyone in between. - Experience supporting or leading planning processes such as annual planning, OKRs, or roadmap reviews, with the ability to create clarity in ambiguous situations. Requirements - Experience working in platform, infrastructure, or developer tools organizations. - Familiarity with agile, SAFe, or other delivery frameworks at scale. - Prior experience as a software engineer or solutions architect. - PMP, PgMP, or similar certification. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field. Benefits - Competitive health plans (medical, dental, & vision insurance) - PTO (starting at 20 days) & 12 company holidays - 401(k) with company match - Telemedicine service provided by ESO - Savings accounts (FSA, HSA, DCA) - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Peace of mind benefits such as life insurance, disability insurance, and worksite benefits - Paid parental leave, new child program, & flexible parental return-to-work options Company Description ESO is a fast-paced, growing data, technology, and research company passionate about improving community health and safety through the power of data.
