Role Description NOC (Network Operations Center) is the central command and control center for ‘Transportation Execution’ across the Amazon Supply Chain network supporting multiple geographies like NA, India, and EU. It ensures hassle-free, timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from Amazon FCs to carrier hubs. In case of any exceptions, NOC steps in to resolve the issue and keeps all the stakeholders informed on the proceedings. Along with this tactical problem solving, NOC is also charged with understanding trends in network exceptions and then automating processes or proposing process changes to streamline operations. This second aspect involves network monitoring and significant analysis of network data. Overall, NOC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation and thereby has a direct impact on Amazon’s ability to serve its customers on time. Title: Network Engineer Location: Boise, ID, United States Remote but will consist of 50% to 75% travel to different locations throughout the US Sr. Network Engineer Summary The primary focus of this position is to provide configuration and operations support for a network based primarily on Cisco and Palo Alto Network products. Based on audit proposed new features and configurations for system optimization. - Leverages shell scripting for network related troubleshooting and configuration. - Work with end users and stakeholders support organizations to troubleshooting diagnoses and resolve issues related to networking, server, backup, storage as well as LAN/WAN connectivity issues when necessary. - Performing network traffic analysis using tools like Sniffer/ Wireshark to ensure optimal performance Details: Qualified candidates would have the following: - 7+ years of experience in a network engineering role, including performing architecture and design of heterogenous IT environments alongside experience in the following areas: - 5+ years' experience with Cisco Networking including ASA firewalls, Cisco Catalyst, and Cisco Nexus switches. - 5+ years' experience with Palo Alto NGFW and related products.
