Role Description Our Agency distribution system is the cornerstone of New York Life, where dedicated individuals like you connect with clients and build lifelong relationships. The Investment Solutions Consultant (ISC) is responsible for achieving and exceeding the assigned territory and individual General Office’s investment sales objectives. ISCs deliver sales concepts, product information, and provide technical guidance to New York Life agents in an effort to drive investment sales. This position primarily covers offices in California and NV, and will support the following General Offices (GO's): - San Francisco - East Bay - Northern CA - Reno The ideal candidate location should be in one of these areas. What You'll Do: - Work closely with agents who are part of a captive agency sales force to develop and maintain strong business relationships. - Develop a strong command of New York Life’s investment products (annuities/mutual funds) and sales processes. - Provide case development and design support. - Introduce new product enhancements to field management and agents with particular emphasis on individual needs, markets, and tax issues of investment products. - Deliver sales presentations to both agents and clients. - Provide sales support and product information through individual face-to-face meetings as well as large group sessions. - Proactively work with management. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience. - Motivated and energetic individual with the ability to drive objectives relatively autonomously. - Approximately 5 years of wholesaling experience in annuity/investment products. - A broad and comprehensive knowledge of the annuity business, an understanding of the sales process and the dynamics of selling annuity/mutual fund products. - Industry recognized designations such as RICP, CHFC, CFP are highly desirable. - Excellent communication skills are essential. - Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships. - Life license, Series 6 or Series 7 and Series 63 registrations. - Understanding of Advanced Markets, a plus. - Frequent travel is required, potentially up to 100% of the time. Requirements - This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
