Role Description Training Qualifications UK is on a mission to be the market leader in technical education. We work with over 500 schools, colleges, universities, and training providers across the world to provide qualification certificates, endorsements, and apprenticeships to over 150,000 learners. Individuals in this role perform a vital function in ensuring every award made by TQUK is valid and reliable, whilst providing outstanding customer service to our centres. On a daily basis, our External Quality Assurers will: - Make judgements regarding the validity of evidence. - Ensure that our Centre’s meet TQUK requirements for Centre Approval to be maintained. - Provide advice and support to our centres about the processes and requirements for becoming, and staying, approved. - Help centres understand what to expect from the External Quality Assurance Process. TQUK has 3 values that we ask of everyone who represents us to live by: - Be courteous - Have a willingness to learn - Put the team first We’re looking for three individuals to join the team and specialise in three different key areas: - Early Years - ESOL/TEFL - Generic EQA Qualifications - Hold or be working towards a recognised qualification in Assessment and/or Internal Quality Assurance, including but not limited to: - Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - V1 Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process - D34 Internally verify the assessment process - Level 4 Certificate in Leading the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - Level 5 qualification in Early Years Education - ESOL specific: - Hold a minimum of a CELTA, Trinity Cert, TESOL or equivalent - Experience of assessing or examining ESOL speaking assessments or IELTS - Have experience with CEFR levels A1 to C1 - Be fully committed to ongoing CPD in the occupational area in which you’ll be working - Meet the occupational competence requirements of the qualification being quality assured, as outlined by TQUK - Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Be organised and able to prioritise your workload - Be able to think on your feet and respond to customer demands - Be comfortable working to deadlines, set standards and operating procedures - Be familiar with current information and guidance issued by the current regulators including but not limited to Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA Regulation, and the Department for Education - Be willing/able to travel, as required Requirements - Be confident and ambitious with a ‘can do, will do’ attitude - Be well motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work on your own initiative - Be able to have fun! - Be passionate about education and the opportunities that it brings - Be able to keep an eye on the bigger picture and appreciate where your role fits into the business - Ability to work in a flexible manner, adapt to different environments and solve problems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Outstanding attention to detail Benefits - Training, Qualifications & Apprenticeships.
