E-Commerce Digital Systems Manager

Role Description Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on E-Commerce & Digital Systems Manager to lead the development of the company’s entire digital infrastructure. This is not merely an operational role; it is a position for a Systems Builder who can architect, implement, and optimize a digital ecosystem from scratch. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the e-commerce platforms, CRM architecture, automation workflows, and AI integrations, ensuring that the company’s digital presence is scalable, secure, and highly efficient. Key Responsibilities - E-Commerce & Website Architecture: - Builds, optimizes, and maintains company websites and online stores (Shopify, WordPress, Webflow). - Manages the complete digital product catalog, including descriptions, pricing, and high-quality media assets. - Enhances website performance, mobile optimization, and conversion rates through continuous testing and UI/UX improvements. - Coordinates complex integrations between websites, suppliers, and inventory/payment systems. - CRM & Workflow Automation: - Architects and manages CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) to create optimized pipelines and customer journeys. - Develops advanced dashboards and reporting systems to provide leadership with data-driven insights. - Builds and manages sophisticated automations using Make.com, Zapier, or N8N to reduce manual operational friction. - Implements AI tools and LLM workflows (OpenAI, RAG systems, AI search) to improve scalability and customer engagement. - Marketing Support & Leadership: - Supports SEO, analytics, and digital marketing initiatives to drive traffic to new e-commerce platforms. - Organizes digital media assets and prepares promotional materials such as brochures and presentations. - Works closely with ownership to create operational standards and scalable workflows. - Takes ownership of projects from conception to execution, eventually assisting in building and leading a dedicated digital team. Qualifications - Required Qualifications: - Proven track record in managing e-commerce websites and complex digital systems. - Strong knowledge of Shopify, WordPress, or Webflow. - Expert-level experience with CRM systems and automation platforms (Make.com/Zapier). - Hands-on experience with AI tool integrations (OpenAI/LLMs) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP). - Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript. - A "Systems Builder" mentality—someone who thinks like an owner and can solve complex problems independently. - Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal. - Preferred Skills: - Experience in the construction materials, home improvement, or design industries. - Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Figma, or Adobe Suite). - Knowledge of GA4 and SEO fundamentals.
