Senior Counsel, Bank Regulatory
Circle
• Serve as Circle’s internal authority on prudential banking regulation as applied to stablecoins, payments, custody, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure • Advise senior leadership on regulatory strategy and engage directly with U.S. banking regulators • Translate traditional bank regulatory concepts into practical guidance for digital asset and blockchain-based systems • Partner closely with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to structure new products • Review new product proposals for alignment with banking supervisory principles
Job Requirements
- JD or equivalent with admission to practice law in the United States
- 10+ years of legal experience focused on bank regulatory law, prudential supervision, or financial regulation
- Prior experience at a banking regulatory agency (e.g., OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, CFPB, or state banking regulator)
- Deep knowledge of U.S. banking laws and supervisory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience advising on or supervising technology-driven or innovative financial products
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development
