HR Payroll Coordinator – 16 Months Contract
Vantive
• Work closely with the Head of HR - Vantive Canada • Responsible for execution of various HR functions including payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding new employees, and front-line HR support • Accurately process and manage payroll for all employees (approx 200), ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations • Prepare and distribute paychecks, maintain payroll records, and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions and assisting with paperwork completion • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures following legal requirements and industry-standard processes • Stay up-to-date on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance • Maintain accurate HRIS data and liaise with global centers of excellence as needed • Other projects as required
Job Requirements
- College Diploma in HR Management, Accounting or Business Administration
- 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on payroll, benefits or HR
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills; projection of professional image and credibility; teamwork oriented, flexible and inclusive
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Expert in MS Excel
- Nice to have: Bachelors Degree
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
- Health care, pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience preferred
- Global organization experience preferred
- Prior experience with Dayforce, Workday
