Senior Staff Desktop Systems Engineer

• Define and own the technical direction and standards for Windows and macOS endpoints • Design scalable, secure, and supportable endpoint architectures using modern management platforms • Lead and manage complex endpoint projects from planning to execution • Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Manufacturing IT, and R&D teams to ensure endpoint solutions meet compliance, validation, and audit requirements • Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex endpoint issues • Establish and enforce endpoint standards, best practices, and lifecycle processes to drive consistency • Develop and enforce systems policies, procedures, and standards to ensure optimal performance and security • Mentor and influence senior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and best-practice alignment.
Job Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum of 13+ years related experience or a Master’s degree and 8+ years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 5+ years of experience
- Strong, hands-on endpoint engineer with deep expertise in Windows and macOS endpoint platforms
- Advanced scripting and automation capabilities, with proven expertise in PowerShell, Python, and Bash
- Strong experience designing and operating endpoint management solutions using tools such as Intune, MECM, and Jamf
- Proficiency in endpoint security, hardening, and configuration management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to translate root cause analysis into durable engineering solutions
- Ability to influence without authority and mentor other engineers through design reviews and best-practice guidance.
